Programme of Events

Meetings all begin with an hour of lipreading practice run by Kay Murray, a qualified lipreading tutor.  You would then enjoy a cup of tea and biscuits and chat with other members and exchange experiences dealing with the modern world. At the moment we are asking you to bring your own mug.   After the tea break we often run a social event, eg bingo or a beetle drive or invite a visiting speaker covering a variety of topics not necessarily related to hearing issues. Click here for the full programme of events for 2024.

Note: Most hearing aids have a “tele-coil” which allows us to use the T-Loop in the Hall. You will get much more from the meeting if you have this enabled on your aids. If you are not sure whether you have this feature, we might be able to help you get started. Otherwise please ask your audiologist.

We also run fundraising events, a summer outing and a Christmas lunch.

You would be welcome to participate in the annual sponsored walk organised by Rotary Club of Guildford District Rotary (click here for their website), and from time to time we sponsor a trainee Hearing Dog. Click here for more information about this scheme.
